Following a leisurely warm up at the outdoor velodrome in Hawthorn, we will ride towards the city on shared paths towards the National Gallery of Victoria, Southbank.
We stop there to view the complimentary Liquid Light exhibition of Venetian Glass. Examples range from the sixteenth to the twentieth centuries and include important examples from the Renaissance and Baroque periods. (If this doesn’t hold our interest we’ll find another exhibition that does).
We will have a lively discussion about our findings at morning tea and riders can then either catch a train home from Flinders Street station or join the group on the return journey to the velodrome, where we should arrive around 1pm.
