CANCELLED: Very sorry folks but IU think we can safely call this one a no-go now. Forecast is saying 80% chance of rain with high winds for that area. Report from Kerrie down there is that there is flooding on roads in Dromana and Rye and that it is NOT riding weather at all. Stay home, stay dry!

WEATHER ALERT: There is rain forecast for the day, we are keeping an eye on it and hope to run the ride. Our ride will go ahead if the Melbourne Group decide to ride. Alternatively if it is dry in Geelong we may change the location!

Kerrie has a great ride planned for a visit to Pt Nepean at Portsea…if you’ve never been there, it includes some short sharp climbs, undulations, probably some wind and guaranteed beautiful views!! There will be lunch at the Sorrento Hotel. If you do/don’t want to do lunch please indicate in the comments so Kerrie can book and I can work out the return journey.

We will meet at the Queencliffe Ferry Terminal at 8:30 to board the 9:00am ferry and then attempt to catch up with the Melbourne contingent (Kerrie has shown me a shortcut). The ferry is $26 return for foot passengers and we can take our bikes for free).

NOTE: Due to the nature of the ride this is suitable ONLY for those confident on roads….probably high Magenta.
