We’ll start at Cross Keys and head towards the old Pentridge Prison complex. It’s now a housing estate, but many of the original bluestone walls still exist. There is also a wonderful cafe there which is worth checking out. This ride is on path and quiet roads and I’ll try an avoid the hills as much as possible.

Distance: ~20km
Level: Pink and up.
Start: Cross Keys Reserve, Bridge St, Essendon
Bring: Lights, lock, spare tube, water bottle, money for coffee and cafe
