It just so happens Alicia and I were headed down to check out some Rapha 100 routes, but then Natasha told us about this….if you’re keen to go, then we’ll meet at Montpelier Park.

PLEASE WEAR WW KIT…we will have a short lunch afterwards, but Alicia and I have business to do so won’t be staying too long. Bring your bikes, or not…up to you.

Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race, there is going to be an announcement next Tuesday 11 July and Geelong Cycling Club has been invited to be a part of it. Here’s what you need to know if you would like to attend.

Date: Tuesday 11 July
Time: 10am sharp
Location: Montpellier Park, Westbury Terrace, Geelong

Details: There will be a cycling time trial with over eight VIPs, including Cadel Evans, taking part. To help cheer them, a colourful crowd is required along Westbury Terrace. Following the time trial, the Minister for Sport, John Eren, will be making an announcement. Feel free to stay for the announcement.

What to wear: Wheel Women Kit. The more of us in WW kit the more noticeable we will be.
Parking: If you’re driving, we recommend carpooling as parks will be limited. You can park on the ridge, Rivington Court or Hillary Court. Please be aware that Westbury Terrace will be closed for the event.
Bikes: Feel free to bring your bikes but please note that there is limited space to lock your bikes.
Wet weather: In case of wet weather, please stay tuned for details about a new location. If there is rain forecast, we will advise of a location change on Friday 7 July.
