Following a leisurely warm up at the outdoor velodrome in Hawthorn, we will ride towards the city on shared paths towards the National Gallery of Victoria, Southbank.
We stop here for coffee & a snack and at 12.30pm join a complimentary guided tour (approx. 60 minutes) of William Eggleston Portraits at NGV.
This major exhibition travels from its critically acclaimed showing at the National Portrait Gallery in London and is the first exhibition of Eggleston’s photographs to be exhibited at the NGV.
Riders can catch a train home from Flinders Street station or alternatively, join me on the return journey to the velodrome, where we should arrive around 2pm.
Distance: Approx. 10kms one way
Level: Pink and up
Start: Hawthorn Velodrome, Patterson Reserve, Hawthorn
Finish: Either Flinders Street station or Hawthorn Velodrome
Bring: Front light, D-Lock or other strong lock, spare tube, MYKI card, water bottle, light jacket and money for coffee & snack.
New riders are welcome, we have a come-and-try program of 3 rides before you need to become a member.
