Iris Dixon is the living legend of Australian women;s cycling…the Iris Dixon Women’s Champion Award is named after her and Tina is one of the very honoured recipients. But it seems iris has been missing us!!

Let’s go and ride with the Golden Oldies at Peston velodrome. Iris starts riding at 9am and then the group has a barbie afterwards, and we are invited…bring some morning tea contributions!!

You can choose to ride to the track from Wheel Women, meeting at 8am, or meet us at the track and ride laps…or just drive there and meet Iris and her gang of golden oldies.

NOTE: If you choose to ride on the track you must be Magenta or Purple ONLY. We need to respect the safety issues for Iris and would not want inexperienced riders on the track.

Distance: depends on your choice
Level: Blue, Pink – meet at the velo and no track riding, Magenta, Purple – ride there from WWHQ or meet there, ride on the track.
Start: either WWHQ OR meet at RESERVOIR VELODROME, cnr Fordham and Cuthbert Rd, Reservoir
Bring: Helmet, water, spare tube, lock AND MORNING TEA contribution
Cost: Members free, Non-members $5 paid to the ride leader.

New riders are welcome, we have a come-and-try program of 3 rides before you need to become a member.
