Heading back down the Peninsula this time. The Western Port Bay Trail is a great way to explore the area. Starting from Hastings Foreshore, you can take in the stunning views of Westernport, as well as get a glimpse of Cerberus, a historic steam-powered ship that sits in the bay. The boardwalk stretches out for approximately 400 metres, and is made up of both gravel and dirt roads, as well as some sections of bitumen. Gravel bikes or mountain bikes are recommended for this trail, as the terrain can be quite varied. With plenty of spots to pull over and take in the views. If anyone is keen to stay for lunch the Kings Creek Hotel has a yummy menu. Please let me know and I can book us in.
