Despite the bikes in the photo, this is not a mountain bike ride. I just couldn’t find the right photo.
Let’s start the day on the Ted Wilson Trail out through Fyansford. We’ll follow a section of the peaceful Barwon River for a bit before heading out through the suburbs of Highton and Wandana Heights on the road. I think a circuit of Deakin Waurn Ponds Campus is in order then on to some new suburbs in Warralily and Armstrong Creek for coffee. Please note the return route will include some fairly busy roads with narrow shoulder and a few heavy vehicles passing before we link back onto some trails to the Barwon River and down to the Geelong Waterfront.
We will be riding on some busy roads, suburban streets, and bike paths.
Must be confident on the road and bike lights mandatory!
