After taking in the fresh air at Rippleside Park we will enjoy a roll along Geelong’s northern waterfront and check out the site for the new Geelong to Tasmania Ferry terminal. We’ll follow the bay round through Geelong’s shipping terminal hub, past the prestigious Geelong Grammar School and alongside Limeburner’s lagoon and the pretty Hovell’s Creek Trail to Lara for coffee at Anna’s Cafe, before returning via the same route.
The surfaces we will be riding on are mostly sealed bike path with a section of road at North Geelong.

For riders who want a shorter distance, after coffee you can catch the train from Lara to North Geelong station which is a short distance from our start at Rippleside Park. This will make it about 18km. We’ll take you to the Lara station, remember to bring your MYKI card.

Distance: ~35 km
Start: Rippleside Park carpark, near Ripples cafe. Entry via Bell Parade.
Bring: Mask, sanitiser, spare tube, water bottle, MYKI, money for light refreshments. Lights and lock if you have them.

If you have any Covid-19 symptoms, no matter how mild, you must cancel from the ride and please get tested.
