CANCELLED: This early arctic blast that we’ve been reading about in the paper means tomorrow’s weather forecast for Warburton is cold, cold, cold and wet. With a maximum temperature of 6C and rain predicted it won’t make for a pleasant or safe ride. We have decided to cancel. We’re sorry to cancel, but it’s not fun riding when you are freezing cold.

This is a beautiful, car-free ride along an old rail line to Warburton. We’ll ride beside grassy paddocks, through the bush, have views of the mountains and be amongst nature. It really is a most beautiful and peaceful ride.
Our lunch stop will be at Warburton, probably down beside the river so you can either bring your lunch with you or purchase something from the local bakery.

We’ll have 2 starting points, one at Lilydale (~70km) and one at Woori Yallock (~35km), so Pink, Magenta and Purple riders can join in. The trail is compacted, crushed gravel but suitable for road bikes, gravel bikes, hybrids, mountain bikes, ebikes, pretty much any bike.

Distance: ~ 70km return
Start: Old Gippsland Road Carpark, just before the T-junction where Old Gippsland Road and Queen Road meet.
Time: 9:00 am

Level : Pink
Distance: ~ 35 km return
Start: On the Trail, carpark next to Symes Rd Park, Woori Yallock
Time: 10:30 am (This is an estimate, please ensure you are there waiting at this time)

Bring: Mask, hand sanitiser, lights, lock, spare tube, water bottle, and money for lunch.

COVID-19:
If you have any Covid-19 symptoms, no matter how mild, you must cancel from the ride and please get tested.
